Strategic planning for the Chamber focuses on the following:

• Providing quality support to the sector;
• Increasing the level of support currently given to small companies;
• Providing increased support to maritime schools and scholars;
• Supporting the sector in QCTO scoping and implement solutions to delivery under this model;
• Aligning our strategies and delivery-mechanisms to the requirements of NSDS 3;
• Finding an integrated alignment mechanism between the implementation of the STCW and SAQA processes within the sector.
